Zhuhai in Guangdong district

The waterfront at Zhuhai

Zhuhai (Pearl Sea), is a prefecture-level city on the southern coast of Guangdong district, located in the Pearl River Delta. The area borders Macau to the south.

The wonderful natural landscapes and attractive environment is giving Zhuhai the reputation of a garden city and a popular destination for tourists.

An absolute highlight is the New Yuan Ming Palace, a park with a beautiful lake, with a partial reconstruction of the Old Summer Palace in Beijing, destroyed in 1860 by the French and British troops during the second opium war, and never rebuilt on its original site.
